Ponggok Introduces Bundled Tour Packages to Boost Village Tourism

The Tourism Practice Project in Ponggok was designed with one clear goal: to create bundled tour packages that would make the village’s destinations more appealing and easier for visitors to enjoy. The activity started with a survey of three key sites—Umbul Ponggok, Umbul Besuki, and Umbul Sigedhang. During this stage, the team collected details about ticket prices, rental fees, available facilities, and the kinds of activities that tourists could try at each umbul. This was not just about writing down numbers, but about understanding how each destination could contribute something unique to a combined tour experience.

Once the survey was complete, the team moved on to preparing a price transparency sheet. This was important because it allowed us to compare options across the three sites and think carefully about how they could be bundled. For example, a visitor might want to experience snorkeling at Ponggok, a quiet nature walk at Besuki, and traditional snacks at Sigedhang. By presenting the prices openly and clearly, we could build trust and give visitors confidence in choosing our packages.

The highlight of the project was the design of the tour bundles themselves. Instead of selling each service separately, the team combined entrance fees, activities, and facilities into full-day packages. The bundles were made to suit different types of visitors—some designed for Deluxe, Normal, Economic This way, the packages offered better value for money but also gave tourists a smoother, more enjoyable experience.

To support the promotion of these bundles, the team created a tourism pamphlet. The pamphlet was simple but effective: it showed the different package options, listed the facilities included, and explained the prices in a way that was easy to follow. Pictures of each location and activity made the bundles feel more real and inviting, turning the pamphlet into both an information sheet and a marketing tool.

The last stage was working out the numbers. The team carefully calculated the basic costs (HPP) and the final selling price of each package. This part was crucial, because it ensured that the bundles would not only be attractive for visitors but also sustainable for the organizers. The calculations were neatly recorded in an Excel file, making it easy to adjust prices or redesign packages in the future.

By the end of the project, the outputs were clear: a detailed survey report, transparent price lists, a set of bundled tour packages, a promotional pamphlet, and complete financial calculations. More importantly, the process showed how bundling could turn individual destinations into a stronger, united offer—giving visitors more reasons to come to Ponggok and helping the village step confidently into the tourism market.
